Tuscan Lakes custom program readies homes, welcomes new manager
Tuscan Lakes custom program readies homes, welcomes new manager (League City, TX – May 2008) Tuscan Lakes custom home program is ready to meet any move-in schedule, with several completed homes and others in varying stages of construction. Plus, Sara Turner has joined the Tuscan Lakes team as custom home sales manager, officing in a spectacular Harbour Classic custom design. At 1281 Chiara Court, the 3,902-square-foot stucco and stone home welcomes prospective buyers with a grand double-door entry, which opens directly to a central living area. Tray ceilings crown the family room, which overlooks a broad lanai. A 42-inch concave bar top defines the kitchen, which has a large work island and opens to the breakfast area. The master suite features vaulted ceilings and a large walk-in closet with a packing island. A soaking tub centered within the octagonal master bath is a focal point of the luxurious space. Upstairs is a children’s retreat, complete with a game room and two secondary bedrooms, each with a walk-in closet. Other highlights include 10-foot ceilings through the downstairs, a first-floor guest suite, a planning center, a private study, a porte-cochere and third bay in the garage. The home is priced at $829,000. In addition to Harbour Classic Builders, other custom builders in Tuscan Lakes include Dan Wallrath Homes, which has two completed homes; and the Marsters Company and Masterpiece Custom Builders, each with one home ready and another under construction. Waterfront homesites are available and several new cul-de-sac homesites will be offered soon. In the development’s 55-foot section, Newmark Homes and Wilshire Homes have opened new models. Coventry Homes, which is building on 75-foot homesites, also has opened a new model home. Other production builders include Chesmar Homes, David Powers Homes, Highland Homes, Meritage Homes and Royce Homes. Home pricing begins in the $150,000s. Just two miles east of Interstate 45, Tuscan Lakes offers easy access to Clear Lake, the Kemah Boardwalk and Galveston Island. Planned for 1,850 homes and 750 luxury multi-family units, Tuscan Lakes is dedicating more than 150 acres of open space. Architectural elements, such as the aqueduct at the main entrance, are reminiscent of the Tuscany region of Italy, and a Mediterranean theme is found throughout the common areas. The community is noted for its parks, resort-style pools, lakes, nature reserves, water features, greenbelts, walkways and jogging trails. A recreation complex, central to Tuscan Lakes’ current neighborhoods, includes a pool with a children’s splash play area and an elaborate playground. A second recreation center will open for the 2008 summer swim season. The community’s landscape architecture plan incorporates trees and plants indigenous to Tuscany, such as Italian cypress trees, which also fare well in Houston’s climate.
