Kemah Boardwalk is ringing in the holidays with a sleighful of activities. Enjoy holiday dancers, stilt walkers, live music, movies, a snow patch, Santa’s workshop and pictures with Santa. As an added bonus the Boardwalk will be open Christmas Day so children can work off the holiday sugar rush before Christmas dinner. Check the calendar for dates and times.

The Christmas Boat Lane Parade is a beloved Clear Lake tradition featuring more than 100 brightly decorated power and sailboats that will traverse the Clear Lake channel from the South Shore Harbour Marina and the Nassau Bay Lagoon to Galveston Bay. Boats can be viewed from the South Shore Harbour Marina, Nassau Bay Lagoon, Kemah Boardwalk, both sides of the Kemah/Seabrook Channel and from the shores of Clear Lake.

The largest holiday destination in the Southwest is decorated and open for business, delighting families with the annual Festival of Lights, ice skating, live entertainment, holiday train rides, an arctic slide, 3D holiday movies and more. Don’t miss the Ice Land Rainforest Holiday featuring ice sculptures of rainforest animals, birds, butterflies and colorful orchids.

One of the largest holiday lighting events in the Houston area and the largest lantern festival of its kind in the nation returns to the Gulf Greyhound Park. The 2017 festival will feature seven themed sections including Magical Wonderland, Mystical Forest, Santa’s Christmas Village, Mystery of the East, Dinosaur Land, Landmarks of the World and the festival’s newest section, The Lone Star State. Additional activities include a holiday market, appearances by the Ice Sisters and Santa, live performances, carnival rides and games and an expanded dinosaur exhibit.
